The history of Modulnova begins 30 years ago (in 1988) in Friuli, in Prata di Pordenone, for the will and initiative of three brothers: Dario (now president of the company), Giuseppe and Carlo (both directors of the Board) Presotto.
The Presotto family has been in the furniture world since the late 1940s (grandfather was a carpenter, his father continued with a company of bedrooms until 1987), but it is with Dario, Giuseppe and Carlo that begins the entrepreneurial adventure that today employs around one hundred employees, invoicing € 35 million a year (with 70% of customers in Italy) with an increase over the last 5 years of 30%, a production area spread over 12,000 square meters.

Since the choice of the name (which is inspired by the module, modularity, a tribute to the “modulor” of Le Corbusier), the goal is very clear: to propose a kitchen system that can be customized “tailor-made” for the client, who it can satisfy stylistic requirements, but also functional ones, with taste and formal rigor.
A sartorial approach that today characterizes the whole proposal of the Friulian company: born with the production of kitchen systems, Modulnova has subsequently extended its proposal to the bathroom and living sector.
A challenge then undertaken by the then twenties Presotto brothers who confirms today the goodness of the choices made, proved successful. A success that is due above all to the perfect harmony, understanding and planning that drives these young entrepreneurs, but also to have believed right away that to be trend setters it is necessary to bring innovation and design into the kitchen with absolute attention to the continuous transformations of the market and of the styles of living.
The collaboration with Andrea Bassanello, art director of the company, has led to consolidating the style of the Modulnova brand in a precise and recognizable direction.
A creative design inspired by essential lines, the use of new materials (such as Kerlite, glass, aluminum and cement resin) and the introduction of new production systems make it possible to produce furnishings that acquire value in the time resisting fashions and tastes of the moment.
In 2000 Modulnova creates a line of bathroom furniture designed to define welcoming and well-kept atmospheres even in an intimate and private environment such as the bathroom.
The Modulnova style, refined and clean, combines the sobriety of shapes and rationality in the organization of the spaces, and is designed to meet the needs of functionality and practicality of everyday life. From the kitchen, to the bathroom to the living area, now more and more connected and from the tame architectural boundaries, Modulnova offers living solutions to live the home with contemporaneity, a mood in which the essential design, the fine finishes and the high quality and originality of the materials used converge to give life to an authentic Italian Style.

In 2011 the Modulnova offer was completed with MD HOME, the new furniture and furnishing company for the living area born as a natural continuation of an entrepreneurial path and know-how acquired and developed in over twenty years of activity.
